Oh, How You’ll Glow: Clove+Hallow Hydraglow

It’s no secret that I love a good highlighter. Personally, I am a fan of the lit from within look rather than full on disco, but that’s just me. So when Clove + Hallow launched their highlighter Hydraglow that can be applied on top of your makeup but also mixed into your base, I was intrigued!

I haven’t seen many true liquid highlighters, and this formula comes in a small bottle with a dropper. My initial application of this was on top of my cheekbones as a finishing touch to my makeup. It leaves a candlelit wash on the skin, like a perma-filter for your face, making you look good in every light. Yesss, girl, yesssssss. I find this applies best using a patting motion whether it’s with fingertips or a brush/sponge. Some foundation formulas will move around with application if using a wiping motion, so pat pat pat!

On to phase two: the foundation test. One drop of hydraglow mixed into my foundation yields model worthy skin. Plump and dazzling. I do a lot to take care of my skin already, so this is really the icing on the cake for those days I want to look extra glam and red carpet worthy. But honestly, who doesn’t want that everyday??

Not only is Hydraglow shimmery, it’s made with ingredients commonly found in skincare. It is infused with hyaluronic acid which boosts the skins hydration – it’s a humectant, meaning it draws moisture into the skin. It’s also made with meadowfoam seed oil which is similar to our skins natural oils (much like jojoba). It locks in the moisture that hyaluronic acid pulls in!

As always, Clove + Hallow is cruelty free and vegan.
