A’del Luxury Skincare

The A’del Luxury Skincare line from A’del Natural Cosmetics* is comprised of a 3 part series- Cleanse; a rich oil cleanser, Hydrate; an alternative to alcohol based toner in a mist form, and Moisturize; a  nourishing oil for your entire face and neck. I have been using these for a few weeks now so here are my thoughts!

Cleanse* is made from Certified Organic Avocado Oil, Certified Organic Sunflower Oil, Certified Organic Castor Oil, Certified Organic Lavender Essential Oil. When you pump it out, it’s a deep green oil thanks to the avocado oil. I find this is thicker than other oil based cleansers I have used (presumably from the castor oil which is usually quite viscous). It has a pleasant, mild lavender scent, which makes it feel like a spa experience.

The recommendation is to use 4-6 pumps, but for me that was more than I needed so I used 2-3. I apply it directly to my face and also to a washcloth; I’ve found that using a pump or two directly on my face helps to break down base makeup, and then a squirt on a warm, wet washcloth is perfect for removing any residual eye makeup. Once everything has been broken down, I rinse my face with more warm water and pat with a dry cloth. I only use this at night because it’s so rich. In the mornings, I usually just splash my face with some cool water.

Hydrate* is a very fine mist made of 100% Fractionally Distilled Aloe Vera Leaf, Vegetable Glycerine, Certified Organic Lavender Essential Oil. Hydrating indeed! Again, the scent of this is very mild for me, but pleasant. I use this in lieu of an alcohol or witch hazel based toner. It’s also wonderful for refreshing your face throughout the day, or as a makeup setting spray!

And the last part of the line is Moisturize*. This is my favorite out of the skincare line, partially due to the scent…I immediately picked up the sweet almond oil and frankincense! The full ingredients are Certified Organic Rose Hip Seed Oil, Certified Organic Avocado Oil, Red Raspberry Seed Oil, Certified Organic Sunflower Seed Oil, Certified Organic Perilla Seed Oil, Certified Organic Sweet Almond Oil, Certified Organic Jojoba Seed Oil, Certified Organic Cranberry Seed Oil, Certified Organic Frankincense Essential Oil, Certified Organic Geranium Essential Oil, Certified Organic Bergamot Essential Oil, Certified Organic Ylang Ylang Essential Oil, Jasmine Essential Oil, Rose Essential Oil, Vitamin E Oil (non-GMO from sunflower).

Rosehip is amazing in skincare (it’s a rumored favorite of Kate Middleton!) because it contains natural carotenoids, a natural form of vitamin-A that help slow down aging as it’s a powerful antioxidant, vitamin-C, and GLA- an omega fatty acid. The essential oils in this are also fantastic for the skin and add a really nice aromatherapy component. This oil is also green in color like Cleanse albeit slightly lighter, due to the avocado oil. This has quickly become a favorite treat of mine!

Since starting this line, my skin looks really smooth, and I’ve noticed my pores are less visible. I haven’t experienced any negative reactions like breakouts. The line is gentle enough for stressed and irritated skin due to things like hormonal breakouts, too. Each night is a rejuvenating facial experience complete with aromatherapy. The packaging is simple and elegant, which I’ve been displaying in my bathroom rather than keeping it tucked away in my cabinet. Also, the dark bottles are great for protecting the contents from photo-oxidizing which is so important with naturals!

Much like the makeup from A’del, I am a huge fan of their Luxury Skincare line! I haven’t used a complete skincare set in ages (instead opting to mix and match my products), but A’del is the perfect trio. It’s lovely having a skincare ritual at the end of the day, and this one is absolutely amazing, especially if you’re looking for all natural ingredients!
