Vapour Haul

One of the first brands I tried when switching to natural beauty products was Vapour. What initially drew me in was the beautiful streamlined packaging, wide range of colors, and the variety of products to choose from-all while being made with skin-loving ingredients.

Several years later, and I’m still in love!

I got the Atmosphere Soft Focus Foundation in s123 (light/medium, yellow/neutral undertones) which is spot on for my skintone when I have a tan. It comes in a glass bottle with a pump. The Soft Focus liquid foundation is better for combination/oily skin types vs. the Luminous Foundation Stick. If you like sheer coverage, and a radiant finish, this is it!

I normally tend to get oily throughout the day, but I don’t notice my skin feeling slicker than usual while wearing this despite the top ingredient being Camellia seed oil. It’s definitely dewy and stays that way, but doesn’t turn into a complete oil slick. Camellia seed oil is high in omega fatty acids and antioxidants, which explains why after using this for a while my skin seems brighter and breaks out less! It’s also high in silica, another skin loving ingredient.

I then apply the Illusionist Concealer in the corresponding shade, 023 to my undereyes and blemishes. This is a concealer in a stick form and is very creamy and easy to apply…it makes my under eyes so much brighter instantly! My under eyes have blueish-purple tinge (thanks genetics!) and this almost erases traces of darkness and just looks fresh! This isn’t full coverage by any means, definitely more light to medium and like the foundation, a radiant finish. If you have under-eye circles, you completely get the struggle.

My blemishes are still slightly visible but much more muted down after applying this. However, I will add that since using this concealer my blemishes have seemed to heal faster, and I haven’t had new breakouts in their place! The added tomato fruit/leaf extract (which is high in lycopene) helps to regenerate skin, as well as frankincense oil- known for clearing acne! I feel like this covers acne marks well without emphasizing textural issues because it’s very moisturizing. Both the foundation and concealer are high in skin healing ingredients; they practically double as skincare. I love when my products serve double duty!

The foundation boasts a range of 19 different shades and the concealer 18.

I have the Mezmerize Eyeliner in Truffle, which I would describe as a neutral, mid-tone brown. This is in a traditional pencil form that requires a sharpener, and it has a sponge smudger on the opposite end. It glides on easily sans tugging, and is perfect for daytime wear by adding soft definition. It’s easy to smudge once applied but sets after a minute or so. I love the versatility of this eyeliner; I’ve even used it in my waterline and used a black liquid liner on my top lash line which creates a really nice contrast to opens up the eyes! It’s a pretty soft looking eyeliner, and can be built up for more intensity if desired.

Siren Lipstick in Bold

The Siren Lipstick shade Bold is a pretty red plum shade. I absolutely adore it, it adds sophistication for daily wear and can be built up to a more opaque finish; perfect for transitioning to night. The formula is made with 70% organic ingredients, including hydrating ingredients like beeswax and jojoba. I also have the shade Coquette, which is described online as a modern fuchsia. Because my skin-tone is warmer, this wears more on the coral side for me but I LOVE IT. It’s the perfect color to throw on for daily wear, and it brightens my whole face up without looking like I’m trying too hard. Love love love! The lipsticks come in the same type of twist up stick as the Illusionist Concealer.

Last on my review is the Elixir Lipgloss in the shade Beguile. It’s described as a warm, clear, berry mauve which I feel is very accurate. This wears like a true gloss, non-sticky and SHINY. If you read my review about Vapour’s Velvet Lip Gloss, this has higher shine payoff in comparison, but still maintains that hydrating feeling thanks to Icelandic moss and lemon balm extract. It feels lighter in comparison to the Velvet Glosses which are more balmy.

I’m a huge fan of Vapour and what they stand for; never sacrificing quality, healing your complexion, and offering a gracious range of shades and tones.
